Know Your Divine Agenda and Fulfil It by Pastor Mbenna (Prof.)

The book of Esther and Esther as person has a lot that we can learn from

You can go through the book of Esther to understand the story

In the story we can see how King Xerxes attracted to Esther more than other women, so she set to take the place of Vashti the former Queen

Esther 4: 11   "All the king's officials and the people of the royal provinces know that for any man or woman who approaches the king in the inner court without being summoned the king has but one law: that he be put to death. The only exception to this is for the king to extend the gold scepter to him and spare his life. But thirty days have passed since I was called to go to the king."

Esther was afraid that she will be killed

Esther 4:14  "For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father's family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"

Mordecai sent Esther a strong message

That message changes the heart and message of Esther

Then Esther realized that she was in the Palace for a divine agenda

In Esther chapter 1,2,3 up to 4:14 was ignorant of who she was

Esther 4:16-17 "Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish." 17 So Mordecai went away and carried out all of Esther's instructions."

Then Esther set to do his divine purpose, he tell her people to fast for three days

Esther 5:6 "As they were drinking wine, the king again asked Esther, "Now what is your petition? It will be given you. And what is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted."

King offers Esther several offers but because Esther knew her divine agenda she stick to it

She asked for second banquet with King and Haman

Esther stand for her divine agenda

Esther 8:6-8  "6 For how can I bear to see disaster fall on my people? How can I bear to see the destruction of my family?" 7 King Xerxes replied to Queen Esther and to Mordecai the Jew, "Because Haman attacked the Jews, I have given his estate to Esther, and they have hanged him on the gallows. 8 Now write another decree in the king's name in behalf of the Jews as seems best to you, and seal it with the king's signet ring--for no document written in the king's name and sealed with his ring can be revoked."

There were season of Obstacles for Esther but in Chapter 8 it was a season of opportunities for Esther and Mordecai

You might be in the season of ignorant, you don’t know your divine agenda

Everything that seems pleasant or attractive you just grab it, any opportunities that arises you grab it, because you don’t know your divine agenda

To live is to know your divine agenda and fulfill it

If you die before knowing your divine agenda means you have died before you live

DON’T DIE BEFORE YOU LIVE

You have a Divine agenda

Everyone has it, it is there

In Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

This means I had my agenda and my purpose then I contracted you to fit in that agenda

To be born is a divine calling

There is something that have been made before you were born, you have to do it

Look for your divine agenda, it is there

Luke 1:15 "for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even from birth."

You are created for something

There is divine agenda for you

There are three seasons; a season for not knowing your agenda, season for overcoming obstacles towards our divine agenda and season for opportunities for your divine agenda

Three Obstacles to Overcome towards your Divine Agenda

1.      Fear

Fear that other people will be surprised that what you are doing has not been done

I encourage you to have a sanctified daring towards your divine agenda

2.      Superficial faith

Superficial sense of trusting God

There are believers who are unbelieving

Go deed to the things of God

Grow your faith, spiritual discipline and be a truth Christian

3.      Gideon Syndrome

Gideon was weak he has low self esteem

Some Christian are affected with low self esteem

They cannot pursue their divine agenda because they think it is too Big for them

They feel so weak because of their family background, maybe they were poor or they come from uneducated family so they cannot do their divine agenda.

Your background cannot determine your future I argue you to grow your self esteem
