Today I will speak on three things that God Uses to change
a Man
Our Opening Scripture comes from Genesis 17: 1-8
17
When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am
God Almighty[a]; walk before me faithfully and be blameless. 2 Then I will make
my covenant between me and you and will greatly increase your numbers.”

Abram fell facedown, and God said to him, 4 “As for me, this is my covenant
with you: You will be the father of many nations. 5 No longer will you be
called Abram[b]; your name will be Abraham,[c] for I have made you a father of
many nations. 6 I will make you very fruitful; I will make nations of you, and
kings will come from you. 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting
covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations
to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. 8 The whole
land of Canaan, where you now reside as a foreigner, I will give as an
everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be
their God.”
God changes the name of Abram to Abraham
The following are steps that God used to Change Abraham;
1. He
Communicated to Abraham
God is never quite he speaks to people every day through
his word, Some people are waiting for Prophets to say a word of God to them and
devil understanding their desire he sometimes sent False Prophets to them that
is why it is very important for a Christian to read the Word of God.
Hebrew 10: 25 not
giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging
one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching
Identify yourself to a church, be responsible to your
Pastor. It is very dangerous to a member of Universal Church meaning you don’t
belong to any church.
Look for a local church and be a responsible member there
it is very important for your Christian Growth.
Some Christians are not faithful in giving their tithes and
offering
And sometimes some Christians cannot be trusted,
non-believers are more faithful than us
This morning God demand a change, we should be honest to
God and ourselves
2. He
Converted him
When God called Abram he responded and was transformed
Look at the Mirror and remove everything that is not
pleasant to God
When God want to use you he will take away anything that
seems to be hindrance to your calling e.g lies, alcoholism, fear etc
and He will fill you with gifts of the Holy Spirit like
wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, fortitude, piety, and fear of the
Lord .
Christian must be transformed as it is written in 2
Corinthians 5:17 Therefore,
if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come:[a] The old has gone, the new
is here!
3. He
Consecrated him
Abraham did not know where God want him to go he just
obeyed God calling.
Hebrew 11:6 And
without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him
must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
God blessing comes by faith
Seek God first the Blessings will follow you
Are you ready to be Converted, Are you ready to be
Consecrated
Are you ready to be Transformed
Make a decision today to be transformed.
